Full Job Description
This position works directly with the CEO of an established real estate development company and fund from Los Angeles now based in Tampa. You need to be a real estate professional for this job.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to handling communication with architects, civil engineers, city planning department and anyone else involved in the development process.
You will be finding and getting bids from vendors for every aspect of the development process. You should have a working knowledge of real estate development and its various stages. In the beginning of every project you will conduct the due diligence needed to deem projects viability. You will need to take notes in meetings, keep records in an online project management system, do conventional filing, manage CEO’s calendar, and more.
Qualified applicants will possess a working knowledge of real estate, development, construction management, and land use, but are not required to have any certifications. Professional experience in real estate and/or construction is a MUST.
Further, applicants should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Gmail, internet research, with the ability to learn CRM Monday.com. Ability to type at least 60 WPM; if technology is not your friend, do not apply.
Need to have a high level of understanding, with the ability to be told something once in order to get it going, and ultimately, get it done.
The right candidate will be highly motivated and enjoy administration, with the ability to assist the CEO in pushing forward projects to completion. You have to like people to do this job.
This position will be immersed heavily in anything real estate related that the CEO has, not limited to only new developments. This includes, multi-family developments, rentals, home building, construction. Qualified applicants will understand they are working directly under a CEO with a certain level of professionalism required, which includes presentation, dress, polished communication, and timeliness.
Job specifics:
- Assist CEO in day to day operations in varying tasks at an executive assistant level
- Assist with all aspects of development, including due diligence, government approvals, bids, planning, and construction management
- Monitor the construction costs and project progress timeline
- Perform real estate market research by analyzing the industry trend and local competitive supplies
- Liaise with external consultants and vendors
- Manage and coordinate purchase and sale transactions with mortgage, title, insurance, inspection, and other transaction services and vendors to ensure deadlines are met and deals close within timelines
- Growth opportunity — you will be exposed on a day to day basis to some of the brightest minds in real estate and construction and you will learn what is needed to be a successful Real Estate mogul
- Must be flexible with work scheduling/ tasks and be very responsive and reliable. Bottom line: you are being hired to run our office and to take burden away from the CEO. A thirst to GROW, ACHIEVE, and PROSPER is required.
- This jobs ability to expand all the way up to 240k/year depending on how well you learn and how many projects you can manage.
