Real Estate Legal Assistant and/or Paralegal
Job Description:
The legal assistant/paralegal will have the following responsibilities/duties:
· Reading contracts and preparing timelines
· Calendaring contract deadlines and circulating to respective parties
· Sending reminders as deadlines approach
· Reviewing title reports, creating title indexes and draft title objection letters
· Prepare real estate closing documents, correspondences, HUDs and more
· Answer telephone calls
· Assist with closing/post-closing requirements
· Assisting with leases, amendments, assignments, and terminations
· Tracking documents out for execution
Qualifications:
· Associates degree and/or paralegal certificate
· 3+ years of related commercial/residential real estate legal experience required.
· Have excellent verbal and written communications skills
· Have exceptional organizational skills
· Must have the ability to prioritize workloads
· Have the ability to learn quickly and communicate effectively
· Have excellent attention to detail
· Must have the ability to work under pressure with professionalism and decorum
· Must work independently and well with others
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word and Outlook
