AV rated Florida wide law firm is seeking a Real Estate Legal Assistant to work at their Tampa office. This is a great opportunity to support a busy and growing law firm.
Responsibilities will include drafting preliminary title documents and amending them, online title research at various registries of deeds websites to find certain recorded documents, interact with paralegals, attorneys, and lenders on closing documents and timelines.
Conduct other various related duties as needed. Willing to train the right candidate. Candidate must be organized, self-motivated, experience with Microsoft Word programs and computers, excellent communication skills and have ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment. Experience in Aderant, File Site preferred.
Ideal Candidate possesses the following:
Prior law office experience – minimum 7 years as Legal Assistant/Paralegal Experience with Real Estate, Wills, Trusts, and Administration of Estates Excellent computer, oral and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Quick Books Strong word-processing, writing, grammar and proofreading skills Pleasant, professional phone manner Strong professional present Courteous disposition Serious attention to detail Ability to prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision Cannot be sensitive to criticism
Duties include:
Handling routine new client inquiries Processing, posting & distributing mail Drafting correspondence and various legal documents Scheduling appointments, meetings and deadlines Maintaining client files in firm database/ document management system Handling regular administrative tasks Interacting with high level executives in person and on the phone Confirm closing dates, location, documentation, and funds due at closing with borrowers Deed Preparation.
