Akerman LLP, a top 100 U.S. law firm serving clients across the Americas, is seeking a Real Estate Paralegal to support the Residential Development Real Estate Practice. The paralegal may be located in any of our Florida locations but will be assigned to the Orlando group. The work specifically focuses on the representation of homebuilders, single family residential developers and apartment developers throughout Florida. The successful candidate will have strong written and oral communication skills, be proactive and detail-oriented, and have a take control/ownership of files work ethic. We require a minimum of five (5) years of real estate paralegal experience. Must have a thorough knowledge of real estate acquisition and sale transactions, development issues, contract administration and closing work, title insurance, survey, and closing requirements, all as applied to commercial real estate development and transactions. Ability to work well with others is a must. Also, must be proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Word, Excel and Kofax PDF. We offer an excellent compensation and benefits package.
