POSITION: Community Association and Real Estate Paralegal – We are seeking a paralegal with a strong real estate background, excellent writing skills, and title experience. The ideal candidate is highly organized and manages their time effectively. The applicant must be comfortable communicating with multiple clients, attorneys, supervisors and staff about real estate matters, including issues involving community development, title, and deed restrictions. The ideal candidate is proficient in performing a variety of paralegal duties for multiple attorneys.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Order and examine title history and conduct lien and other public records searches.
- Draft and revise legal documents such as amendments to declarations, title memoranda, leases and meeting notices.
- Perform review of association declarations, articles of incorporation, and bylaws.
- Review and prepare client status reports on a regular basis.
- Perform address/asset searches through Postal Service, Accurint, DMV and a private investigator when necessary.
- Review and sort incoming mail, identifying time-sensitive documents and notifying attorney.
- Accurately compose letters, memos and various other legal documents.
- Maintain telephone contact with clients as needed.
- Complete critical tasks within specified time limits.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Familiarity with chapters 617, 718, and 720 of the Florida Statutes.
- Excellent grammar, proofreading and editing skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize work, manage time and stay organized.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients, attorneys and other team members, both orally and in writing.
- Aptitude to follow instructions effectively from a diverse group to include clients, attorneys and managers, and provide information in a courteous and considerate manner.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree, or years of experience in lieu of college level education.
- Experience working in a lawfirm environment preferably as a paralegal or legal assistant.
