Overview
We have an excellent opportunity for a commercial Real Estate Corporate Paralegal, who will be directly involved with providing quality, high-level service for our clients and attorneys. This position requires transactional experience with commercial real estate and related corporate work. The candidate selected will provide assistance with all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, and must be proactive and detail-oriented with the ability to provide project management with multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, coordinate and prepare real estate documents, instruments to acquisitions, loans, regulatory applications, and title and survey matters, including purchase agreements, banking and loan applications
- Prepare and file entity formations and related corporate documents
- Prepare and analyze UCC, bankruptcy, litigation and lien searches
- Research and retrieve tax and other public property records
- Produce title commitments, policies, endorsements and computing; remit agent/underwriter premiums
- File and maintain corporate documentation with Florida Department of State
- Coordinate document execution; coordinate and attend real estate closings
- Manage closing and post-closing documentation and ensure accurate records
- Record documents via Simplifile
- Administer electronic client files and data rooms
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree or a paralegal certificate (equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
- A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience with commercial real estate transactions
- Ability to navigate work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple deadlines in a team environment, to help achieve clients’ business objectives
- Excellent analytical and research, writing and editing skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to details with document production and review
- Advanced proficiency with MS Excel and with performing web-based research
