Real Estate Paralegal
Job Summary:
The Real Estate Paralegal will assist our Real Estate Attorney by providing clerical and research support services including document preparation, coordination and review; responsible for handling Real Estate and loan closings; ensure the team remains in compliance with state legal regulations. This position is located in St. Petersburg, FL with an AV rated law firm.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Meets with attorneys, clients, title agents, surveyors, loan officers and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects.
- Handle Real Estate and loan closings.
- Drafts legal documents including deed and settlement statements and affidavits.
- Research and analyze statutes, regulations, and other legal sources.
- Prepares, organizes, stores, and retrieves case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items.
- Develops and maintains records regarding billable hours spent on specific cases.
- Preorders Real Estate and loan closing binders.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

- Understanding of legal language and principles regarding Real Estate and loan closings, research methods, and other related matters.
- Familiarity with HUD and SBA loans.

Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field required; Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Real Estate Paralegal
- Florida Paralegal certification required.
