Who you are

As a Real Estate Portfolio Analyst, you will play an important, role in loan asset management duties where you will work directly with borrowers, clients and legal in the review and presentation to the client for the approval of borrower requests (e.g. beneficial ownership changes, collateral substitutions/releases, lease/SNDA reviews, reserve releases).

You will be assigned collateral surveillance and loan asset management duties or a combination of duties from these major functional areas. Your primary responsibilities include portfolio surveillance through operating statement analysis, rent roll tracking, property inspection reviews and trending market data.

What you bring

  • You have 3 – 5 years of commercial real estate mortgage loan portfolio management.
  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate or Finance (past work experience considered in lieu of).
  • You are proficient in Excel and CREFC analysis and experience in Argus Enterprise.
  • You have experience in reading complex loan documents.

Bonus skills and experience

  • You have knowledge of analytical and marketing tools (Rockport, CoStar, REIS, etc.) is a plus.
  • You have worked on special projects outside of your regular remit and been able to show excellent time management skills in doing so

What success looks like:

  • You will monitor borrower, property, and market level performance within assigned portfolio to evaluate credit quality and key risk indicators to identify loans exhibiting deteriorating metrics that may asset potentially lead to loan defaults.
  • You will generate exceptional internal report metrics for identified loans exhibiting risks and negative trends and prepare periodic monitor reports and watch lists in accordance to client’s criteria.
  • You will perform the collection, review and analysis of borrower and property financial statements in accordance with client requirements.
  • You will review annual property inspections prepared by Colliers or third-party vendor.
  • You will review mortgage loan documents to monitor and enforce covenant and trigger events.
  • You will build relationships that allow you to advise and assist Loan Administration personnel in assuring activities are properly reflected on the loan servicing system of record.
