Purpose of Job
NOTE: This position will be in our Tampa Crosstown facility. (Southeast Tampa/Brandon Campus).
Serves as the primary point of contact for the mortgage process after the loan is submitted to Fulfillment. With a focus on ensuring loan applications are accurate and supporting documentation is complete, responsible for providing quality loan processing while delivering an exceptional member service experience. Works with Underwriting and various other cross-functional teams to ensure the successful and timely approval and closing of mortgage loans to meet our member’s needs.

- Assists unit manager in providing guidance and coaching to junior processors to drive sound business results and may oversee the work product to ensure accurate processing and pre-closing tasks are completed from point of application to submission.
- Handles the most complex real estate loan requests and escalated member issues for all mortgage products in support of a fulfillment unit or expert phone queue.
- Assists unit manager in providing oversight to daily workflow, to ensure service level objectives are met in the areas of member satisfaction, speed, and efficiency of file delivery to completing mortgage applications.
- Provides direct feedback to junior processors to aid in the refinement of existing skills and the development of new skills and provides feedback to unit manager on employee performance.
- Serves as a resource to less experienced team member and facilitates or assists with unit training needs.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvements and serves as a subject matter expert in providing guidance in the development, evaluation, and implementation of processing system enhancements or process improvements.
- Performs detailed reviews in accordance with prescribed policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations.
- Assumes the manager’s primary business duties and responsibilities for daily operations of the unit in the manager’s absence.
Minimum Experience
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
- 4 or more years of real estate lending experience to include mortgage loan processing, home equity loan processing, closing, originating, underwriting mortgage loans.

Preferred Experience
- 2 or more years of direct team lead/supervisory experience.
- Technical knowledge regarding the end to end mortgage process.
- Experience pro-actively managing a team pipeline to deliver high business results.
