The Receptionist is the Front Desk Representative and will undertake all receptionist and clerical duties at the desk of our main entrance. You will be the “face” of the company for all visitors and will be responsible for the first impression we make.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the company’s lobby area – i.e. greeting and directing all visitors, including vendors, clients, subcontractors and job applicants.
  • Places, receives and routes a high volume of calls through an electric switchboard.
  • Supplies information to callers, relays messages and announces visitors.
  • Ensures completion of sign-in and security procedures.
  • Handles special administrative projects as well as overflow work from department and executive assistants.
  • Monitors office supples and places orders when necessary.
  • May also be responsible for conference rooms, couriers, and related house services.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree
  • 1 – 3 years of relevant experience
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Proven experience as front desk representative, agent or relevant position
  • Familiarity with office machines (e.g. fax, printer etc.)
  • Knowledge of office management and basic bookkeeping
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Word)
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Customer service orientation
