Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
This position acts as the first point of contact in the Sparkman Wharf office building by welcoming guests, notifying the respective companies and appropriately directing visitors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Greet all guests, visitors and vendors in a positive, friendly manner and direct as appropriate
- Acts as the first point of contact – via telephone and walk-in traffic
- Grant building access in accordance with security procedures
- Answer the Sparkman Wharf phone line and route calls or take messages
- Input data and code invoices within an accounting system
- Provide a constant presence in the lobby area to allow for accessibility by guests, visitors and vendors
- Maintain a positive image of the brand and company at all times
- Receive mail, sort and prepare outgoing mail for Sparkman Wharf
- Maintain the Sparkman Wharf merchant directory/list
- Knowledge of Sparkman Wharf activities and events
- Knowledge of surrounding neighbors or locations i.e. Aquarium, History Center, Amalie Arena etc.
- Attend one to two pre-approved customer service and security training courses annually
- Ensure lobby area is always presentable and clean
- Provide general administrative support and assist with ad-hoc projects
- Regular, reliable and predictable attendance
- Carry out other duties as assigned
Experience and Skills
- One or more years of experience in customer service
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
- Proven interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills
- Professional, outgoing and friendly demeanor
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 15 lbs
- Sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing
- Ability to complete front desk safety training within 90 days of start date
- Ability to work between the hours of 8:00am and 5:30pm Monday – Friday
