Alta Construction Equipment is seeking a qualified Regional Accounting Manager. Alta Construction Equipment, the exclusive Volvo Construction Equipment dealer for the State of Florida, is a part of the Alta Construction Group
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
- Responsible for the maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the Company’s financials, specifically accounts payable and specific balance sheet accounts (eg. Prepaid insurance, prepaid expense, etc).
- Responsible for the review of assigned account reconciliations per the month end close checklist
- Reviews expenses by accounts, branches, and departments
- Records month end journal entries
- Maintains historical records by adhering to the Organization’s document retention policy.
- Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Team player capable of successful interaction across multiple departments.
- Managing a team of staff accountants to ensure accuracy and completeness in the monthly financials.
- Perform the company’s financial audits
- Monitor and analyze financial accounting data for variance/trend analysis
- Assist in audit processes by maintaining and providing supporting documentation and explanation for financial information.
- Assist in the performance of internal control activities.
- Perform ad-hoc accounting analysis and projects as assigned.
- Associates degree in Accounting or higher.
- 3+ years relevant accounting experience.
- Proficient with MS Excel, Outlook, and Word. General knowledge of pivot tables required.
- Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty
- Able to communicate in a professional manner both written and oral.
- Team player who can maintain excellent relationships outside the department.
