Job Description
This position will oversee the accounting for the purchase, construction, and sale of manufactured housing. This position will support the National Sales Manager in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the accounting records and reporting in an efficient and timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Reviews purchase orders for the purchase and construction of homes for accuracy and completeness
- Ensures all purchase orders are being reviewed and approved promptly
- Reviews and approves invoices vs. the approved purchase orders, ensuring the goods have been received and/or work has been completed
- Ensures timely payment of invoices to vendors
- Provides estimates of remaining costs to complete to the sales department
- Prepares financial report packages for management related to real estate inventory, sales, and other ad-hoc reporting and analysis as requested
- Prepares reconciliations and analysis of accounts
- Prepares, reconciles and processes sales packages
- Prepares forecasts of anticipated purchases on a monthly basis
- Assists in the continuous improvement of internal processes, procedures, and controls within the department
- Assists with special projects as needed
Requirements
Education/Experience
- Minimum Education: BA/BS degree in accounting or related field
- Minimum Experience: 3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Accurate, thorough, and detail oriented
- Must be very organized
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude and works well in a team environment
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Yardi and/or other accounting software a plus
