ReliaQuest will hire 55 for new operations center in Tampa
Tampa IT security solutions company ReliaQuest is in an expansion mode, announcing 55 new jobs by 2017.
The company’s rapid growth had President and CEO Brian Murphy considering a new location for security operating center (SOC) “to an area more central to our entire North American customer base,” he said in a prepared release.
Ultimately, Murphy, who also is this year’s chairman of the Tampa Bay Technology Forum, was convinced to expand operations in Tampa.
“We are committed to expanding our base of operations in Tampa and helping to highlight this region as one of the top information technology sector destinations in the United States,” he said. “The support we have received from the city, county, and state has been tremendous, and will greatly enhance our ability to attract and retain the world class talent our organization needs to thrive here.”
A total of $330,000 worth of incentives have been approved for the ReliaQuest’s expansion, according to a release. The incentivized jobs will pay an average wage of about $64,000 a year.
