Full Job Description

SCOPE:

The Renovation Manager is responsible for all inventory and refurb operations in a portfolio of communities, including, but not limited to, business plans, inventory management, liaison between all field inventory personnel and resources so that the portfolio has inventory homes ready for sale at all times in good physical condition with a stabilized fiscal operation. To adhere to all applicable fair housing laws governing real estate sales, leasing and management maintenance service. The following is meant to cover many of the tasks to be performed, however duties and responsibilities are not conclusive below and can change as the Company deems necessary and as determined by your supervisor:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and analyze acquisition opportunities as needed and requested by DOO and Skokie
  • Research mobile home sales and aim to find the best quality and price
  • Assist in negotiations of inventory sales transactions; finalize the transaction and assist with the move of the home to specified communities.
  • Physically examine the inventory and refurb work of the properties on a regular basis
  • Includes but is not limited to ensuring all inventory homes are walked at each visit, clean, safe, and well maintained with edging, mowing and complaint with signage.
  • Identify common problems of communities in areas of inventory needs, inventory placement and completion of refurb of inventory and initiate interventions to solve problems
  • Compile weekly inventory reports, tasking, purchase card reconciliations timely and as dictated
  • Interviews, hires and trains staff on as needed basis and evaluate performance of staff
  • Compile, review and approve all necessary HR related documents

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required, College Degree preferred.
  • Valid U.S. drivers license.
  • Proficient in Excel, MS Office, Internet and various computer applications.
  • Energetic and positive with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Must be results driven.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility to travel up to 25%, some weekends may be required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Occasionally required to stand, occasionally required to walk, occasional exposure to outside weather conditions. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than __ pounds.
