Savills is seeking a full-time Research Analyst to join our commercial real estate firm. This person will be responsible for the collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of market research data for cities across the country. Working under the guidance of the Vice President of Research Strategy & Insights, this Research Analyst will work alongside local market researchers to gather data and insights for clients with large real estate portfolios. There is flexibility regarding the working location, with a preference for a major U.S. Savills office and a three-day hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities Include:
- Gather market intelligence in key commercial real estate markets across the country.
- Provide regular updates to and maintenance of proprietary market information. This includes data on rental rates, construction pipelines, lease comparables and other key data points. The focus will primarily be the office sector but may also include other property types.
- Develop knowledge and expertise of market trends in cities nationwide.
- Support the Vice President, Research Strategy & Insights and their greater team in fulfilling ad hoc requests in a timely and accurate manner.
- Work closely with the Global Occupier Services team at Savills. This will include interfacing with brokers, consultants, technology, pursuit strategy, marketing and graphics teams.
- Prepare custom data sets for clients, develop presentations and other marketing materials, and contribute to business development efforts.
- Provide data for Savills’ real estate portfolio visualization, data management and analytics platform.
- Contribute to the production of industry sector and other specialty research reports.
Experience/Education/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree holders with a strong academic record are encouraged to apply from any major, notably including business, liberal arts, economics, real estate, urban planning, geography, social sciences and journalism.
- Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and presentation delivery.
- Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint, including the ability to create spreadsheets, use formulas, create dynamic presentations and visualize data effectively.
- Consistently demonstrate a high level of performance and professionalism.
- Self-starter who works independently and thinks proactively and strategically.
- Ability to problem solve, multitask and meet deadlines.
- Previous commercial real estate experience is a plus.
