JOB DESCRIPTION:

Researches and collects market information within a specific territory regarding the commercial real estate market.  Monitors information management processes to ensure data quality is in accordance with corporate standards.  Position will transition into a sales/brokerage role after a minimum of 12-24 months.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Researches and collects market information regarding the commercial real estate

• market. Gathers data on newly available properties and inputs data in appropriate databases.

• Continuously updates information databases by conducting telephone surveys, on-site surveys, extracting data from brochures and other marketing materials, contacting civic organizations, outside agents, internet sources, and other sources.

• Provides reports from corporate and vendor databases in support of management and marketing activities of sales professionals.

• Implements information management processes to assure data quality in accordance with corporate standards.

• Maintains accurate property and availability information relating to all properties managed by CB Richard Ellis entities.

• Assists in maintaining information resources libraries. Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides no informal or formal direction to co-workers.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and two to four years related experience and/or training.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

• None.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

• Ability to comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.

• Ability to write simple correspondence.

• Ability to effectively present information to co-workers and/or supervisors on a one-on-one basis.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

• Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles.

REASONING ABILITY

• Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations.

• Ability to solve problems in standard situations.

• Requires basic analytical skills.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Must have general knowledge of the Internet.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.

• Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
