Job Description

Job Title: Researcher

Reports To: Research Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary: Researches and prepares time sensitive, accurate, statutory documents by utilizing online research tools and phone contacts.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Researches our in-house, proprietary software for job starts.*
  • Searches on-line County Property Appraiser websites.*
  • Searches on-line County Clerk of Court websites.*
  • Searches property information on DataTree software.*
  • Searches property information on The Fund’s ATIDS software system.*
  • Manipulates .pdf files.*
  • Manipulates folders in our in-house electronic folders drive.*
  • Interacts with customers by telephone and email*
  • Uses Google Maps and maps within County Property Appraiser sites to search properties.*
  • Communicates information and exchanges ideas with other team members via email, verbal communication and instant messaging.*
  • Uses his/her knowledge of the construction lien laws in preparation of documents.*
  • Calculates deadlines.*
  • Prioritizes work based on daily reports and anticipated completion dates.*
  • Manages an assigned book of clients including building relationships with their customers.*
  • Types job information into our database.*
  • Covers the receptionist desk as a back up.
  • Prepares Excel reports for client information.
  • Resolves client issues via telephone or email.
  • Makes client visits which may include educating the client on our processes or on construction lien law issues.
  • Performs all other duties as directed by the VP of Operations or supervisory personnel.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software, internet software, database software and in-house proprietary software.

Education/Experience:

High school education required; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
