Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate and direct activities related to the move in and resident orientation as well as assisting in special events.

Essential Job Functions Duties and Responsibilities

Marketing Functions

  • Assist residents and families with move in process, lease signing paperwork and move in welcome gifts.
  • Assist in planning and participating in all marketing events both inside and outside of the building.
  • Maintain relationship with residents through personal meetings or group functions, new resident orientation and resident council meetings.
  • Visit with prospects on and off site to facilitate move in.
  • Participate and foster team relationships within the community.
  • Assist with touring the community with prospects; scheduled and walk-ins.
  • Communicate to all departments for timely readiness of apartments and service needs.
  • Ensure that personnel, guests follow established safety regulations at all times including the use of equipment and supplies.
  • Provide continuous follow-up after move in and address identified issues immediately and increase resident satisfaction.
  • Follow up on phone calls to residents, family members and other referral sources.
  • Maintain REPs database and enter information in a timely manner. Complete daily and weekly census reports.
  • Forwards move in/move out information to all departments.
  • Attend and participate in in-service training programs to meet state, federal, and company requirements.
  • Maintain a work environment that is clean and presents a professional image.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism. Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public. Must be able to work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and potentially hostile people within the facility. Must be able to speak, write and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with supervisors, employees, residents, and families.

Education and Experience

Prefer one year college or equivalent experience.

Prefer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel, Outlook) and entering information into a relational database.

Licensing/Certifications

None.

This position is expected to follow all facility policies and procedures. These policies and procedures can be found in the employee handbook, department policy and procedure manuals and with your supervisor.

This position will be required to work beyond normal work hours, additional shifts, weekends and holidays when necessary. This position is subject to call-back during emergency conditions (e.g. severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.).
