Description/Job Summary

Farm Credit of Central Florida supports rural communities and agriculture in 13 central Florida counties including, Polk, Citrus, Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, Hillsborough, Lake, Sumter, Osceola, Orange, Seminole, Volusia and Brevard. Part of the nationwide Farm Credit System, the association loans funds for agricultural purposes, makes residential loans, originates leases, and sells crop insurance. Over 900 borrowers have chosen Farm Credit of Central Florida as their lender of choice, giving the cooperative gross outstanding loan volume exceeding $580 million.

Farm Credit of Central Florida, a leading agribusiness lender seeks an entry level Residential File Opener/Post-Closer for our Plant City office. The qualified candidate should be an efficient, highly motivated individual with the ability to assist the residential mortgage team and service the Central Florida district. The qualified candidate would be a self-starter with excellent time management skills, the ability to multitask and meet deadlines while working in a fast paced environment. Attention to detail, organization and strong communication skills are essential. Basic math skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and typing required at 45 WPM.

Responsibilities of the Residential File Opener/Post Closer will Include:
Closely monitoring all incoming files from the Loan Officers, paying special attention to the application date to prioritize the work flow
Preparing and sending initial loan disclosures to borrowers within 3 days of the application date to comply with federal regulations
Performs post-closing duties including scanning and filing loan documents, completing checklists, verifying receipt of final title policies and confirming proper booking of loans
Processing denials and withdrawals for the department in accordance with the association’s policies and procedures
Ensuring the required information has been collected for all HMDA reportable loans prior to completing the loan
Maintain current knowledge of Lender’s policies and procedures, all applicable federal and state laws and regulations
Accurately maintains various loan information databases to assure the integrity of reports to internal and external audiences
Creates and maintains spreadsheets and other reports to monitor and track all aspects of collateral pledged
Maintain the Construction Draw request process to include receiving requests, gathering accurate documentation, and finalizing the draw.

Minimum Requirements:
Education and/or experience equivalent to an Associate’s Degree in Business and/or one to three years of experience in an office environment.
Prior experience in residential mortgage processing, closing, post-closing, or title work processing functions a plus.
Grade and salary based on background and experience.
