Come work as our Facilities Technician! The work is primarily independent at nearby road side rest areas and commuter facilities doing maintenance, repairs and general upkeep. To report to your shift, you drive directly to the assigned rest area for the day – you do not report to an office or dispatch out from a main unit.
The role requires you to work outdoors on the property grounds, and inside of the facilities, where conditions include weather variations and frequent traffic coming and going nearby. There will be some interaction with commuters and law enforcement as they stop to use the facilities.
SHIFT
We have a need to fill two shifts:
A: 4 pm – midnight Tuesday through Saturday
B: 3:30 pm – midnight Sunday through Thursday
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Oversees the upkeep and maintenance, providing direction to subcontractors as necessary
- Assures quality compliance, including repair work activities, and reconciles any deficiencies that are identified
- Assure that DOT (Department of Transportation) specifications are being met
- Attends Rest Area inspections
- Maintains the inventory of Rest Area supplies, equipment, and small tools
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Prior facility operations upkeep
- Ability to work overtime as necessary, including nights and weekends
- Be able to lift up to sixty pounds (60lbs)
- General knowledge to perform a variety of functions covered in the terms of the contracts (cleaning, maintenance, etc.)
