Salary Range: $25,000 base + commission ($100,000 potential)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this position is to develop new business while identifying additional opportunities with existing customers. Building relationships and continuously growing the customer base are the core functionalities. The Sales Professional must grow revenues in assigned verticals and prospect for new clients while building and maintaining a pipeline, and consistently moving opportunities through the sales cycle. The successful candidate must be comfortable and effective when proposing and presenting solutions with all levels of decision makers.
The Sales Professional will:
- Be a self-motivated “hunter” type sales person.
- Have made at least $50,000 last year.
- Understand that just as 1% of all people hold 50% of the US’s wealth, 4% of salespeople sell 94% of all goods and services and they believe they are in the top 4%.
- Be always learning about their product and the industry – Be a curious knowledge giant.
- Love to work on commission (even though we pay a $25,000 base).
- Develop strategic plans based on industry trends and customer analysis.
- Be good at active listening because they are great at asking questions.
- Penetrate the banking and commercial real estate industry to grow business and drive customer satisfaction into the entire account.
- Prospect via cold calling and mining previous business to identify new opportunities and build a substantial pipeline resulting in the achievement of income goals.
- Build and maintain customer relationships with key decision makers to obtain new sales, maximize product/service satisfaction and ensure proper post-sales support is provided.
- Work with technical staff with high volume daily sales activities including product demo, issue resolution and close to achieve or exceed an assigned quota.
Required Experience & Skill
- BA or BS in related field (desired, not required)
- Minimum 2 years business-to-business sales experience.
- Strong leadership skills, excellent organizational and communication skills, polished and professional appearance and attitude.
- Strategic sales approach with a high level of integrity, team-oriented attitude.
- Proven track record in consultative selling solutions.
- Effective negotiation techniques.
- Focus on achieving mutually beneficial, “win-win” results, alert to customer buying signals, identify and act on closing opportunities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, develop strong relationships within accounts.
- Experience in technology sales (desired, not required).
- Ability to work effectively on their own under tight deadlines.
- Comfortably interact with C-Level executives.
- Proven record of success achieving / exceeding sales targets and goals.
- Self-motivated / highly driven / energetic.
- Ability to mine leads, cold call and build relationships.
- Must be able to take direction and work independently.
