Large Health Insurance company is currently seeking an individual to join our team and continue the development and growth of our Medicare and IFP Sales Teams in our inside Sales Center. This leadership position is responsible for effectively leading, developing and managing employees. They will be responsible for meeting and exceeding sales goals while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
• Directs the sales staff’s efforts to ensure both compliance with CMS standards and that sales goals are met • Provides day-to-day supervision and support to team leaders & sales staff in the performance of their job duties and responsibilities • Develop and enhance sales force capabilities by demonstrating hands-on consistent management practices that identify areas of excellence and foster an environment of continuous improvement through the coaching and development of staff • Provide leadership to staff including establishing and maintaining regular team meetings as well as providing ongoing support and coaching • Set performance expectations and goals, evaluate performance results, provide feedback to staff and administer appropriate rewards. Foster a cohesive and supportive team environment • Work closely with QA department to ensure that proper guidelines, i.e. CMS, are being followed and proper communication and training is delivered as required • Collaborate with internal departments such as HR, Sales Support, IT, QA to ensure open lines of communication with Corporate office and that policies and procedures are aligned with the Company mission • Achieve/exceed assigned business targets and goals • Work hand in hand with the VP of Sales to ensure proper staffing and coverage for all products / partners • Develop comprehensive cross sell program with ancillary products
Minimum Experience: • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of successful sales management experience • Minimum of 3 to 5 years Individual/Family Plan health insurance sales and Medicare sales experience • Previous supervisory / management experience in a call center environment required • Previous supervisory experience managing remote employees • Solid knowledge and grasp of CMS rules and regulations • Solid knowledge of individual & health insurance plans • Solid understanding of call center technology, terminology and environment • Proven track record of increasing sales in a phone based environment
Minimum Education: • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, sales, business administration or related field or equivalent experience required • Current Life/Health Insurance License required
