Job Title: Scheduling Manager – Industrial Construction

Compensation: $78,890 to $113,602 per year
Job Summary
As Scheduling Manager, you’ll oversee all scheduling functions for complex projects or multiple medium-sized projects. This includes developing and implementing scheduling standards, ensuring compliance with company and client requirements, and providing technical direction. You’ll be responsible for schedule development, updates, progress reporting, and problem analysis. This role typically functions as the department head on-site or as a senior manager in the office.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all planning and scheduling activities for large projects, including staffing, personnel administration, and setting objectives
- Develop and enforce scheduling standards and procedures, ensuring compliance and taking corrective actions as needed
- Participate in pre-planning, including reviewing bid documents, creating bid schedules, and resource planning
- Collaborate with company staff, A/Es, primes, subcontractors, and clients on scheduling issues, providing options and solutions
- Create, update, and maintain resource-loaded schedules, and manage progress reports and specialty schedules for one or more projects
- Oversee preparation of project-related schedules, forecasts, and change order updates
- Act as a liaison with clients regarding construction progress and participate in progress meetings, site walks, and issue resolution with contractors and site management
- Integrate subcontractor or client schedules into the master schedule when needed and archive schedules at project closeout
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or related field, or equivalent technical training and experience
- Ten or more years of experience in construction scheduling
- Expertise in Primavera and MS Project, with proficiency in standard office software
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of scheduling engineering systems, principles, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities
- Proven ability to manage and assume full responsibility for one or more project schedules
Working Environment
Work involves both indoor and outdoor settings, with potential exposure to noise, dust, and varying weather conditions. Occasional travel with overnight stays may be required.
