Job Description

Seasonal Customer Service Telephone Operators are responsible for being the main resource and guide for Florida State Fair guests. All calls are to be answered professionally and in a respectful manner. Customer Service Telephone Operators must be able to transfer phone calls to the appropriate party, give driving directions, and keep up-to-date on Florida State Fair events, programs, etc. Customer Service Telephone Operators may also be designated in the lobby transferring incoming calls and handling walk-in clientele. May be required to sit for long periods of time. Average 50+ calls per hour during peak times.

Must be available Thursday, April 22, 2021 through Sunday, May 2, 2021.

  Shifts and hours are varied. Must be available to work flexible hours including, but not limited to, on-call, late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays during the Fair.

Experience and Skills

Education: High school diploma or equivalent/GED.

Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in customer service, administration and/or related field. Experienced using multi-line phones is a plus. Knowledge of Tampa Bay area is a plus.

Skills: Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and verbal communication skills. Must have high organizational skills.
