JOB DESCRIPTION:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience
- Communication skills
- Computer skills
- Must have transportation due to nature of the job
This is a DOL (Department of Labor) grant funded position and requires the following (items 1-4), in order to qualify for hire under the grant terms:
1. Age 55 or older
2. Unemployed
3. Resident of Hillsborough County
4. Meet income guidelines (low income)
AARP Foundation, Inc. Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) has paid training opportunities to help older job seekers obtain a security guard license. Will also assist with job placement.
Work Environment: Will discuss with applicant.
Required Screenings: Drug Testing/Screening; Background Checks.
Days & Hours: Part Time; 25 Hours Per Week; Monday through Sunday; Shift Varies. Complete work schedule will be discussed with applicant.
Pay: $7.97 – $12.00 per hour.
