Full Job Description
Growing company in the Tampa area is looking for a dynamic Senior to join their team due to growth. Company provides a great work life balance and flexibility to mainly work from home. Competitive benefits include 6% 401k match, 3 weeks vacation, annual bonus target of 10% and long term growth.
The Senior Accountant is responsible for accounting and reporting functions, including, but not limited to: journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, budget and forecasting, audit requests, account analysis and special projects as needed.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare journal entries
- Reconcile and maintain general ledger accounts
- Contribute to department month-end closeout responsibilities
- Prepare account analysis and research account variances
- Contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Assist with ad hoc reporting and special projects
- Assist with the preparation of data requests during audits
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education – Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related business discipline from a regionally accredited institution
Preferred: Master’s degree in Accounting or Business from a regionally accredited institution
Licenses/Certifications – CPA designation is preferred.
Experience
Required: Minimum of 2 years of direct or related work experience preferably with experience in public accounting.
