The Senior Accountant position is based in Refresco’s Tampa Executive Headquarters and supports
the lease accounting function, reporting to the Sr. Manager Accounting on the North America
Accounting/Controllership team. This position will be responsible for coordinating and entering all leasing
activity into the Planon lease software for all Americas locations. This includes ensuring that all lease
transactions are properly added and maintained in Planon. This position will work to (1) maintain accurate and
sufficient lease accounting records, (2) assist in the month-end close process, and (3) generate and compile lease
schedules to fulfill monthly and quarterly reporting requirements and comply with the company’s internal
controls. This position works closely with other Refresco employees, both in accounting and other functional
areas.

Duties:

The following are essential duties and responsibilities for this position:
• Act as a liaison between various departments such as Procurement, Legal, and Supply Chain Finance in
determining the proper lease accounting treatment and ensuring compliance with Refresco’s accounting
policy, providing information regarding lease renewals and other information that may be required by other
departments relating to lease agreements.
• Create and capitalize right of use assets and lease liabilities in Planon by reviewing lease agreements,
approved lease requests, entering lease contract information, and providing detailed descriptions to
improve leased asset and liability identification.
• Gather leasing information to enter any lease renewals, terminations, and transfers in Planon.
• Generate file from Planon to load journal entries into SAP.
• Record month-end journal entries as necessary. Gather the appropriate support for journal entries.
• Prepare the continuity schedules during month-end by pulling and compiling detail of lease additions,
renewals, terminations, and depreciation out of Planon.
• Reconcile the lease suspense accounts and clear open items.
• Prepare lease reports and supporting schedules for inclusion in forecasts, budget, and strategic planning.
• Develop forecasts and annual budget for North America.
• Conduct quarterly and annual lease reviews.
• Provide SAP research for all leased assets and plant support.
• Responsible for preparing the lease schedules reported in monthly and quarterly reporting.
• Analysis of account reconciliations to review for appropriate items and ensure correct accounting
treatment.
• Preparation of audit schedules and activities to support the annual audit and quarterly reviews by external
auditors.
• Identify and implement business process improvement opportunities.
• Assist in ad hoc and special projects of the Accounting Team.

Skills/Qualifications:
• Knowledge of IFRS 16 Lease standard
• Experience with SAP preferred
• Excellent accounting and analytical skills
• Proficient in Excel and Word

Education and Experience:

Undergraduate degree in Accounting or closely related field.
3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in public accounting or
industry.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferable

Working Conditions:

Based in Tampa, FL with limited travel requirements.
