Senior Accountant Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision for assigned brands
- Maintain account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
- Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
- Responsible for reconciling accounts payable and accounts receivable, and other subledger
- Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
- Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions
- Prepare lease schedules in accordance to lease accounting standards
- Assist in internal and external audit: prepare schedules, supporting documentation, and research
- Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting
- Prepare presentations on customer profitability, revenue, and expense
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various internal departments and stakeholders
Requirements
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in month end close process
- Proven accounting experience at the Senior level or higher.
- Proficiency in MS Excel including pivot tables, V lookups, and X lookups
- Experience utilizing multiple ERP systems, preferably NetSuite and others
- Self-motivated individual capable of completing tasks independently
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills for data analysis
- Ability to manage multiple projects while adhering to tight deadlines
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Great attention to detail
