The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for monitoring financial performance on government and commercial contracts and the preparation and delivery of monthly reporting to program managers and customers. Works with program management to resolve issues and provides support with reporting and monitoring costs charged to contracts. The Sr. Financial Analyst works with accounting, payroll, billing, procurement and program managers to ensure processes affecting direct charging for all programs are being followed.

Must possess or quickly obtain working knowledge of Costpoint Accounting System.
Coordinate completion of project setup to ensure collection of cost is in accordance with contract requirements.
Responsible for reviewing and understanding contract requirements, including project type, scope of work, and invoicing terms.
Monitor weekly and monthly project performance effectively and provide detailed comments regarding the financial status of projects. Notify management of projects needing corrective action plans.
Work with Project Managers and Billing to ensure invoices are submitted promptly and accurately.
Responsible for Costpoint project maintenance including workforce assignments, and contract value/funding updates as needed.
Provide financial information for proposals and price estimating throughout the project life cycle.
Work with Program Manager to forecast monthly sales and expenditures (estimate-to-complete / estimate-at-complete).
Ad hoc financial reporting and analysis as requested.
Support audit requests.
Support development of Annual Operating Plan.
Participate in project performance reviews.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
Must be a citizen of the United States
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
5+ Years of experience preferred
Experience with Costpoint and Cognos
Proficient MS Office skills (must have strong Excel skills)
Must have effective oral and written communication skills
Detail oriented, self-starter, and ability to work with minimal supervision
Ethical Conduct.

Desired Qualifications
Experience with Deltek Costpoint and Oracle Hyperion a plus
Strong written and oral presentation skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Physical Requirements
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
