Preeminent, national real estate development company is seeking a seasoned leasing representative with extensive experience dealing with and securing tenants for new retail projects throughout the State of Florida and the southeastern U.S. Projects are typically large parcels with multiple single-tenant freestanding projects, in-line shopping center space and grocery-anchored shopping centers.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of successfully completing multi-tenant projects with National and Regional tenants. Candidate must possess strong negotiation skills, be tenacious and a team player, have a strong understanding of retail site selection, site analysis and all aspects of lease negotiations. The position will require travel to projects, primarily in the State of Florida, and occasional overnight travel in the southeast. The position will receive a competitive base salary, participation in a performance-based bonus structure and will have other employment related benefits such as vacation, health care benefits, 401-k, expense and mileage reimbursement, and ICSC and other relevant trade organization memberships paid by the Company.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 5 or more years of experience in commercial leasing.
  • B.A. or B.S. degree required. In lieu of degree, 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Valid Florida Real Estate License required.
  • CCLS designation preferred, but not required.
  • Established Tenant Rep Relationships.
  • Ability to negotiate leases for newly constructed spaces.
  • Identify new sites based on tenant criteria and requirements.
  • Review and understand Title and Declarations.
  • Ability to efficiently estimate CAM costs.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with tenants and gain their trust and respect.
  • Strong character and ethical values that match our company’s foundation.
  • Ability to work under pressure with professionalism and decorum.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Work independently with an ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Must be proactive and take initiative.
  • Must have flexibility for occasional overnight travel.
  • Strong computer orientation and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and ability to navigate the internet.
  • Maintain confidentiality, utilize judgment, and work with minimal supervision.
