Job Title: General Ledger Staff Accountant
Job Summary:
Senior Management Advisors is seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical General Ledger Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, reconciling account balances, preparing month-end close procedures, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the general ledger by posting journal entries and ensuring the accuracy of financial data
- Reconcile account balances, including bank statements, intercompany transactions, and other general ledger accounts
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing adjusting entries, accruals, and financial statements
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies and procedures
- Assist with audits and other financial reporting requirements
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of experience in general ledger accounting
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
