Job Title: Senior Project Control Analyst

Trace Systems is seeking an experienced, dedicated, and energetic Project Control Analyst (PCA) to join our team in Tampa, FL.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary Point of Contact (POC) in all aspects of Project Control (including project set up, purchase requisitions, monthly accrual calculations, cost/variance analysis, EAC development, project reporting, customer invoicing support, communications to Project Managers and customers, etc.).
- Attend internal project kick-off meetings and be responsible for the financial structure (project set up ) in compliance with contractual terms, conditions and requirements.
- Prepare budgets/forecasts, trackers, reports of various contract types, size, and complexity.
- Develop and maintain Estimates at Completion (EACs). Conduct cost, schedule, and contract performance variance analysis.
- Review and assess all contract modifications. Advise the program management team of impacts as necessary.
- Monitor funding status, providing reliable and timely notification of funding status by line item detail as required.
- Identify project risks and opportunities and provide analytical contribution in working resolution with PM, Contracts, Procurement and Finance/Accounting.
- Prepare financial Contract Data Requirements for programs. Ensure contractual requirements are met and customer financial deliverables are accurate and on time.
- Support accounts receivable as required during the billing processing. Monitor billing status and unbilled issues, working with Finance, Contracts, Accounting and PMO to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Prepare subcontractor and vendor accruals in accordance with GAAP and internal policies to ensure that the project’s cost/commitment is accurately captured and reported internally and externally.
- Ensure program revenue and profit is recorded in compliance with the EAC to include company financial policies and directives
- Support and participate in program reviews.
- Maintain control of documents and records to serve as a reference for future inquiries or audits.
- Support Request for Proposals (RFPs), prepare pricing models and cost analysis.
- Perform other duties as required.
Required Skills:
- Advanced Costpoint skills to include Project Set Up, Planning, Business Intelligence.
- Advanced in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, SUMIF, graphs, etc.).
- Intermediate in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook).
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to process and analyze large volumes of data in Excel and consolidate into management level reports.
- Complete understanding of financial analysis such as Return on Sales (ROS), Return on Costs (ROC), revenue & profit forecasts, as well as an understanding of the preparation of program baseline data, EAC development, and cost estimating/pricing.
- Knowledge of general and corporate business practices, government contracting regulations and principles, and accounting and finance principles.
- Well versed in the entire life cycle of a program from proposal development through contract close out.
- Strong organizational and communication skills; the ability to perform effectively within deadlines.
- A minimum of three (3) years related experience in Government Contracting.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Deltek Costpoint.
- Demonstrated ability to forecast, identify variances from a project plan/pricing, provide first-level financial analysis to a PM, and take proactive steps to manage project cost, schedule, and performance.
- Understanding of the different contract types, i.e., CPFF, FFP, T&M and hybrid.
- Demonstrated ability to reconcile, i.e., invoices, financial status reports.
- Must be skilled in Microsoft Business Suite, particularly using advanced Excel capabilities and functions such as macros, lookups, pivot tables, and dynamic charts and graphs.
- Understanding of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll applications.
- Due to the nature of the work and US Government required, US Citizenship is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent.
- In lieu of a degree, each year of direct-related work experience can be accepted as 1 year of education toward a degree.
