Objectives/Purpose of Job:
The Project Manager is responsible for managing / supporting complex business critical projects aligned with the Tampa Manufacturing site priorities.

Key Activities/Responsibilities:
Work with the site Engineering leadership to identify and prioritize projects in support of Tampa’s business needs.

Develop project execution strategies, resource plans, budgets, schedules and support annual operating plan budgetary activities and resource management associated with project execution.

Monitor and report on the overall projects cost performance against plan and manage projects within budget. Provide monthly project updates to the sites project governance team.

Ensure project plans and timelines are in place for all planned activities including a detailed project charter/scope, risk assessment, and milestone schedule.

Chair a set of regular project meetings, which would include, but not limited to, weekly internal project team meetings with the B&L team and a meeting with the construction and or design contractors.

Develop close working relationship with site leads and manufacturing resources to ensure alignment and balance of project resource needs with other site projects.

Lead individual projects (equipment or facility improvements) within the project portfolio as appropriate.

Ensure project documentation is completed and approved per procedures.

Responsible for initiating and managing all needed quality documentation for the respective project, from creation to the close out.

Scope of Position:
The capital projects are required to support the forecasted growth of the Tampa supply and / or address modernization / compliance risks for the site. This position will receive primary technical direction from the Principal Engineer or Aseptic Process Engineering Manager at the Tampa manufacturing facility.

This role is an influential project leader that will need to interface with multiple organizations, groups, and different management levels all in leading the assigned capital projects. Can provide daily direction to technical team members assigned to project teams, as well as overseeing ongoing construction or design work provided by outside vendors. This role must be a creative planner and communicator, so that the projects are forecasted and controlled to the project plan.

Key Relationships:
Ability to lead cross-function teams for both development and manufacturing scale-up activity.

Manage activities with external suppliers, consultants, constructors, equipment vendors, and material suppliers.

Responsible for communication across manufacturing sites

Qualifications/Training:
BS/MS Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline;

5-10 years in Engineering; 1-3 years working in the Pharmaceutical Industry.

2 + years of hands-on project management for capital investments, presentation, organizational, and documentation skills.

Experience:
Knowledge and experience in sterile / aseptic manufacturing processes.

Technical and project leadership experience within a FDA regulated industry.

An ability to analyze and manage technical issues across multiple technical disciplines.

Strong leadership capabilities.

Proven track record of delivering to objectives.

Significant change management experience.

Technical transfer experience and an understanding of manufacturing.

Strong teamwork and negotiation skills and the ability to influence without authority.

Demonstrated ability to work across organizational boundaries.

Excellent verbal, writing and computing skills. Familiar with MS Office, MS Project, CAD and Navisworks.
