Job Description
We are currently performing an exclusive search for a Senior Property Accountant for one of our flagship clients in the Tampa Bay area which is a nationally recognized leader in their industry. The position is newly created due to growth and offers a strong compensation package, outstanding growth potential and excellent work/life balance. This role has a defined fast track to Accounting Manager for the right candidate.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Property Accountant will perform the following duties:
- Assist in the monthly closing and financial reporting process as directed by the Assistant Controller.
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations as well as assist with the corporate consolidation.
- Perform financial analysis of the balance sheet and P&L.
- Works in close coordination and cooperation with all levels of management, operating unit personnel and internal/external auditors.
- Maintains integrity of balance sheet accounts through review of account activity and balances for accuracy and reasonableness, and prepares audit schedules for outside auditors.
- Prepare daily cash forecasting reports.
- Perform a variety of special projects as directed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting required
- 3 – 8 years experience preferred
- Strong Excel skill sets
- CPA preferred
