Job Summary: The Senior Leasing Associate’s primary responsibility is the consistently high production of leasing deals. In pursuit of this goal daily tasks will include client development, tenant targeting, canvassing, cold calling, network meetings and events, and market research. Self-motivation, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to work with a team are critical components of this role.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a leasing agent, preferably on retail product type.
- A current Florida Real Estate Salesperson or Broker license is required.
- Experience in previous roles that require negotiation and/or sales is preferred.
- Demonstrable interpersonal and relationship building skills, including the ability to work effectively in teams.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks in a calm and proficient manner while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptionally strong communication skills, demonstrated in both writing and conversations.
- Ambitious, energetic and open to learning, growth and development.
General Responsibilities:
- Responsible for generating a high volume of leasing deals on a consistent basis, which involves every aspect of consummating a transaction, from pro-actively sourcing tenant prospects through closing the deal.
- Represent the client’s portfolio in all leasing related transactions, including marketing, negotiation, and lease contract.
- Develop strategic tenant plans and leasing assumptions specific for each property in your assigned portfolio.
- Identify new tenant prospects and negotiate leases with national, regional and local tenants, all with the client’s best interests in mind.
- Attend networking events and showcase client’s portfolio to potential tenants and tenant representation brokers.
- Perform regular site visits, due diligence and financial analysis.
- Prepare detailed reporting to present to clients and senior management addressing leasing and marketing issues for your assigned properties.
