POSITION TITLE: Senior Social Media Specialist

REPORTS TO: Digital Marketing Manager

SCHEDULE: Flexible hours with availability on nights & weekends

SUPERVISES: N/A

EXEMPT OR NON-EXEMPT: Exempt

PERCENTAGE OF FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT: 100%

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: No Physical limitations

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

The Senior Social Media Specialist is responsible for overseeing all of Clearwater Marine Aquariums social media outlets. Primary duties include the management of the social media marketing plan, which includes strategies for content, promotion, engagement, conversion, advertising, design, brand development, identification of target audience, setting clear goals and measurement and analysis of results to establish a ROI.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities including:
  • Development of relevant content topics to reach CMAs target audience.
  • Creating, curating, and managing all published social content (images, video and written).
  • Monitor, listen and respond to users in a Social way while cultivating ambassadors.
  • Conducting online advocacy and opening a stream for cross-promotions.
  • Identifying, contacting and engaging social media influencers to visit/and or provide coverage about CMA.
  • Overseeing social design standards to ensure brand consistency and adherence to platform guidelines.
  • Designing, creating and managing promotions and social ad campaigns.
  • Managing efforts in building online reviews and reputation. Monitoring social reviews and responding to each review.
  • Analyzing key metrics and tweaking strategy as needed.
  • Compiling reports for management showing results (ROI).
  • Becoming an advocate for CMA in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.
  • Managing communication and coordination with internal CMA team leads for social events, live videos, videos and content that affect a respective team.
  • Demonstrating the ability to map out a comprehensive marketing plan. Driving effective strategies that are validated by testing and metrics.
  • Developing organizational elements in order to implement a proactive process for capturing happy, loyal online reviews.
  • Monitoring trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.
  • Executing the latest social media video trends (i.e. ability to produce/edit short videos)
  • Implementing ongoing education to remain highly effective.
  • Identifying threats and opportunities in user-generated content surrounding the company.
  • Reporting notable threats to appropriate management.
  • Analyzing campaigns and translating data into recommendations and plans for revising social media, content marketing, SEO and social advertising campaigns.
  • Monitoring effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media campaigns.
  • Analyzing, reviewing, and reporting on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
  • Planning, scheduling, producing and coordinating live video content on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Promoting and managing of the Facebook Show Page(s)

KEY JOB EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 2-4 years experience managing multiple social media accounts and platforms.
  • Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing.
  • Proficient in content marketing theory and application.
  • Display in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, Pinterest etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
  • Experience in managing social media monitoring and analytic tools
  • Strong knowledge of the consumer digital space and emerging technologies
  • Strong comfort level with producing live Facebook videos as well as the equipment used in production
  • Passion for entertainment and digital
  • Ability to establish, manage and maintain productive, mutually-beneficial relationships with management, professional staff, third-party partners / vendors, celebrity talent and media of all types
  • Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why his/her ideas are analytically sound.
  • Maintains excellent writing and language skills.
  • Displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and video format.
  • Practices superior time management.
  • Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary (i.e. content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management).
  • Makes evident good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly.
  • Demonstrates winning Social Customer Service techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy and conflict resolution.
  • Possesses a great ability to identify potential negative or crisis situations and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Bachelor degree. Professional experience working on a consumer-facing digital properties including large-scale social channels. Established technical skills in social media publishing and monitoring. Knowledge of Content Management Software (CMS).
