As a Senior Superintendent, you direct and oversee all daily activities of the jobsite while upholding a commitment to a safe production schedule and quality construction.
Roles You’ll Play
THE TASK MASTER
- Oversee all field operations, including the coordination of subcontractors’ work
- Direct all field activities associated with the project, including taking ultimate responsibility for implementing a Safety/Zero-Harm program for the jobsite, supervising all field construction work by subcontractors, and performing your own work
- Demonstrate commitment to quality by evaluating project-related processes and making necessary changes
- Impose safety and legal regulations to ensure a safe jobsite
THE PEOPLE PERSON
- Share responsibility with the Construction Manager for developing the project budget, actively participating in the preconstruction phase, and ensuring that the project is built on time, within budget, and according to company policies and procedures
- Supervise and mentor assistant superintendents and other field personnel; manage subcontractors and labor
- Communicate with subcontractors and field staff to ensure adherence to schedules, plans, and specifications
- Utilize customer input to make improvements; meet or exceed internal and external customer expectations
THE INVESTIGATOR
- Ensure that the work is performed in a safe and organized manner, complying with the quality program and the initial specifications
- Guarantee our commitment to building the right way by the most cost-effective means while maintaining or improving the schedule
- Supervise daily activities and compile reports on progress, compliance, and obstacles
- Examine completed and in-progress structures and sites for safety, compliance, and conforming to material and structural need

- The Construction Manager can kick his heels up for a minute knowing that you are more than capable of handling the affairs of your project.
Your Building Blocks of Success
- Stellar 7+ years of multifamily superintendent experience; depending upon the project size, scope, and complexity, the years of experience may vary
- Bachelor’s in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field preferred
- Strong presentation and verbal/written communication skills
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office)
