POSITION Service Coordinator/Compliance Specialist
DESCRIPTION – We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team of professionals as the Service Coordinator/Compliance Specialist for our independent senior apartment community in a high-rise tower. The Service Coordinator works in conjunction with the Property Management team to empower residents to be as self-sufficient as possible.The ideal candidate for this role is reliable, team player, and pleasantly sociable individual that has experience in working with the elderly population. This individual is expected to be very organized, creative, energetic, goal oriented, and motivated to help others.

The Service Coordinator will provide

  • General service management including intake,
  • Education (services available and application procedures) and referral of residents to service providers in the general community

These social services may include: Coordinating home health aides, homemakers, Meals-on-Wheels, preventive health screenings, health and wellness education, advocacy, transportation assistance and managing monthly resident events to include seasonal decorations in common areas.

As a Compliance Specialist, you are responsible to maintain all HOME + LIHTC units certified correctly and on a timely basis. The individual must have knowledge filling out TICs, Compliance Program Reports and is familiar with Florida Housing Finance Corporation guidelines.

POSITION REQUIREMENTSQualifications:

  • Two years related experience and/or training and working knowledge of housing, social service and individual support services; Medicaid services, etc.
  • Familiar with social services in the vicinity.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with varied cognitive abilities to establish professional relationships.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as employment paperwork, social security benefits, assessment reports and/or medical records.
  • Demonstrated ability to advocate, organize, problem-solve and provide results for the residents they serve.
