Position Overview:
Communications and Social Coordinator to own the creation and maintenance of marketing assets and content to support our Tampa Bay Community Association (TBCA). An integral role in resident communications, corporate communications, expanding the digital footprint, and brand management of TBCA. This role provides a high level of creativity, attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency in appearance and timeliness of information and materials distributed to the residents and members of TBCA. Provide daily updates to communications distributed through the Front Desk Receptionists to ensure accuracy of information.
- Provide Professional Member Services at Front Desk while accomplishing tasks detailed below.
- Instrumental in the planning and execution of overall marketing communications strategy for TBCA, Including all activities associated with TIDBITS Publication
- Improving brand consistency across departments and committees
- Quality control for all outgoing communications (spelling, grammar, construction, etc)
- Manage TBCA Website, design, content, updates
- Contribute to the day-to-day traffic management of marketing communications projects.
- Working closely with TBCA department heads and Committees to collaborate on marketing initiatives, launches and campaigns, ensuring consistent brand presentation and messaging across all programs
- Manage team processes such as intake of information and status of all projects, working with outside vendors and facilitating project workflow.
- Manage implementation and distribution of communication tools to internal and external audiences.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Marketing Communications, Advertising or related field
- 2+ years of Marketing experience
- Excellent, up to date knowledge of communications principles and practices
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Works effectively independently and collaborates effectively cross-functionally with other departments
- Excellent project management skills, with high attention to detail
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and budgets
- Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Social Media aggregators
- Experience managing Social Media for brand/business
- Proficiency in CMS managed websites
- Experience with Adobe Design Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Experience with social media video production (live and post-production)Importance of Position
The addition of a dedicated Communications Associate allows a non-operational professional to focus solely on building awareness of Tampa Bay Community Association, building campaigns to target new business (homeowners, members, guests, private events, etc), providing consistent professional design of collateral, improving social media presence, improving website, improving internal communications among staff, etc.
It’s difficult for anyone involved in the day to day operations to put the proper emphasis on resident and member communication or outreach. This would be the weekly distribution of hours
- Digital communications (website and email) – 10-15 hrs
- Social media – 5 hrs
- Collateral – 20 hrs
- New business campaigns – 10-15 hrs
