The Social Media Community Manager is responsible for growing audiences on all social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram. In addition, he or she will be charged with maintaining a posting schedule, he or she will also regularly create platform-specific content including text posts, videos, and graphics.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize vendor profiles within online communities relevant to our industry such as Spiceworks, Peerlyst and Cybrary.
  • Listen and engage in relevant discussions about our organization, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing customers and leads and from new audiences
  • Create shareable content appropriate for specific networks to spread our brand.
  • Work alongside other marketers and content producers to help distribute content that educates and entertains our audience.
  • Build and manage the company’s social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit, and potentially additional channels.
  • Run regular social promotions and campaigns and track their success, ranging from Twitter chats to LinkedIn conversations, as well as the content and links posted through these and other channels.
  • Create and oversee paid campaigns on social media channels and online communities relevant to our audience
  • Drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads from our social media presence.
  • Measure and optimize our paid social marketing efforts using vendor-specific dashboards, Google Analytics, and HubSpot landing page reports.
  • Collaborate with Marketing team to maintain a consistent brand voice and message across all paid programs.
  • Craft landing pages and lead generation forms for our content to distribute through relevant social channels.
  • Stay up-to-date with social media marketing trends and potential new channels and strategies to keep us ahead.
  • Grow social media presence, engage new followers and retain existing followers.
  • Help convert social media followers into leads, customers, and active fans and promoters of the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience
  • Active and well-rounded personal presence on social media, with a command of each network and their best practices.
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions.
  • In-depth knowledge of the various social network advertising marketing channels and technologies (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and more)
  • Excellent communicator with ability to sell and convince. You will manage all relationships with vendors and ensure we get the most efficient cost possible.
  • Experience handling marketing budgets and forecasting/reporting results.
  • Bonus experience and skills include Adobe Creative Suite, demand generation marketing, inbound marketing, and blogging.
