Position Summary: The Social Media Content Creator is responsible for creating engaging visual content for the Straz Center social media channels, including videos, photos and graphics.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Social Media Content Creator’s primary responsibility will be to develop, direct, film and edit video to be shared across the Straz Center’s digital platforms.
- Developing video concepts, in conjunction with the digital marketing team
- Storyboarding video concepts
- Writing video scripts
- Coordinating filming schedules
- Coordinating equipment needed for filming
- Editing video
- Routing video through appropriate approval channels
- Submitting final video files to the Senior Marketing Manager Social Media for implementation
- Video projects will include, but are not limited to:
- Creating episodes for a web series
- Creating branded video clips of events/rehearsals/classes
- Photographing events/rehearsals/classes and creating graphics for our digital channels, as needed.
- Managing inventory of camera/video equipment.
- Reports project status to the Senior Marketing Manager Social Media on a weekly basis.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- Experience producing and editing video required.
- Photography and photo editing experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
- Creative self-starter who can successfully manage multiple projects and respect multiple deadlines and rapidly-changing priorities on a tight schedule.
- Access to a smartphone.
- Proficiency with video editing software (Adobe Premiere or equivalent), photo editing software (Adobe Photoshop), and Microsoft Outlook required.
- Ability to work nights and weekends as required.
Education and Work Experience:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent.
- Portfolio/demo reel must be submitted with application.
