Robert Half is currently partnering with a leading company in the essential services sector to find a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant. This role is integral to the company’s accounting department, offering a hands-on opportunity to manage the bulk of the monthly accounting activities. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shifting these responsibilities from the Controller, enabling a greater focus on strategic review and oversight.
In this role, you will lead the monthly accounting cycle, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. A key part of your role will be to implement and refine accounting processes and procedures, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency. You will also manage cash flow, coordinate with auditors for internal and external audits, and contribute to the preparation and distribution of financial reports to the executive team. Additionally, you will handle fixed asset schedules, depreciation entries, and oversee Accounts Payable/Receivable functions.

Requirements
+ A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
+ At least 3-5+ years of robust accounting experience, particularly in full-cycle accounting.
+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with general ledger/ERP systems (Sage Intacct is a plus).
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a comprehensive understanding of GAAP.
+ Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.
+ A team-player attitude, aligning with the company’s proactive, growth-minded culture, and capable of thriving in a fun, yet professional environment.
