Sr Manager, Business Project Mgmt (Workplace Design)
The Workplace Design Sr Manager’s key responsibility will be in the thoughtful application of Deloitte’s workplace design strategy for location-specific projects. Responsible for leading and directing all aspects of complex business projects across multiple business service lines. Responsible for assembling project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, overall fiscal performance, and developing project timelines to ensure timely completion. Must be familiar with the project objectives as well as the role and function of each team member to effectively coordinate the activities of the team. Performs a combination of professional and management duties over project staff.
Illustrative Duties and Responsibilities
- Leads strategic initiatives for business projects that drive client and business growth, working jointly with senior business leaders and project support teams to drive efforts across specific business channel.
- Defines project scope and objectives. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
- Manages project team operations to effectively develop, monitor, and stay within operating budget.
- Manages the performance of project staff, which may include staff employees, vendors/contractors, and consultants. Provides coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to project team to support career development and staff growth.
- Directs business projects to identify, analyze, research and recommend modifications to business processes, policies, and systems to enable the execution of client’s business strategy and goals.
- Develops and monitors fiscal year funding and operation budgets. Approves project funding requests as necessary. Monitors fiscal performance to ensure project costs are tightly controlled.
- Performs other job-related duties as necessary.
Required Technical Skills
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills; Advanced project management skills; ability to think both strategically and tactically; Excellent financial management skills; Specialized skills and experiences may be required relative to operations/process excellence.
- Project Management Certification (Preferred)
Job Requirements:
- Minimum B.A. or B.S. in Interior Design or Architecture
- Eight+ years, experience designing corporate interiors, leading all aspects of design, leading senior client presentations, and alternative workplace strategy development
- Previous experience managing design and service providers is preferred
- Strong communications (written and verbal) skills; proficient in English (written and spoken); technical writing skills preferred
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $104,575 – $214,740.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
