The MS SQL Server Developer is responsible for Database Architecture, design and development including ETL packages & Data Marts, to support the strategic framework for management reporting, analytics, business applications support and business intelligence. This role will require working with the business stakeholders, data architects, and database teams to enhance the department infrastructure solution that will provide key end users/decision makers throughout the company with a robust analytics and reporting platform. The developer will work closely with business leaders and users and Business unit IT teams to define and design solutions tailored to the specific business needs. This role will also be responsible for system and user documentation. The position requires hands on experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 development (T-SQL Stored Procedures and Triggers).
Essential Functions:
- Architects databases/datawarehouse to host business data and support front end applications and reporting.
- Designs, implements, maintains and supports data warehouse. Implements business rules via stored procedures.
- Designs and maintains ETL processes to extract data from multiple internal and external sources into the datawarehouse.
- Responsible for coding and documenting procedures, and programming, testing and debugging data warehouses.
- Regularly performs database maintenance tasks to align with other business systems.
- Communicates and interacts with both IT & business teams for understanding requirements to build/maintain the department datawarehouse.
- Creates/runs/maintains SSIS packages
- Responsible for verifying accuracy of data.
Supervision Received: General supervision through periodic check on infrastructure stability and methodology.
Scope of Decisions: Considerable MS SQL Server development/ ETL skill necessary to maintain department datawarehouse.
Education/Experience: (include any licenses or certifications required)
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years related experience, preferably in an IT environment or directly related or equivalent work experience.

Computer Skills:
· Strong command of database system design and architecture using Access and MS SQL Server 2005/2008 .
· Requires experience with: Transact SQL (T-SQL) and SSIS package design and development, including creation of workflows, job scheduling, maintenance and enhancement.
· Requires ETL processes experience.
· MS SQL Server Analysis and Reporting Services (SSAS/SSRS) a plus.
· Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) a plus
· Experience in SharePoint a plus.
· Strong Excel and Access skills required to create complex databases and spreadsheets .
· Knowledge of email systems / MS Outlook sufficient to communicate with internal and external contacts.
· Knowledge of word sufficient to create simple documents such as memos and reports.
· Knowledge of PowerPoint sufficient to create effective presentations.
