Responsibilities:
• Pay invoices/bills and reconcile all bank accounts
• Prepare month, quarter and year-end general ledger account reconciliations
• Prepare month, quarter and year-end journal entries
• Calculate and prepare expense allocations
• Assist in the production of periodic internal financial statements
• Assist in the production of the annual budget and forecasts
• Research and report on variances from budget
• Assist in the preparation of reports for government, corporate, and foundation grants
• Assist with annual financial and operational audits
• Backup bookkeeper with duties
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge

Qualifications & Competencies
• Solid experience reconciling general ledger accounts, month-end closings and financial statement preparation, non-profit accounting experience a plus
• 3+ years of education in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience
• Intermediate QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, Word and Access experience and skills
• Highly organized and analytical, high regard for quality and accuracy, attention to details
• Possess strong interpersonal skills to be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with a wide range of people representing various backgrounds
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
• Ability to maintain confidential information
• Ability to organize and maintain detailed records; complete necessary paperwork and meet deadlines
• Ability to work under stress of meeting deadlines and changing priorities
• Ability to pass a Level 2 background check
