Flagler Construction Equipment is seeking a qualified Staff Accountant. Alta Construction Equipment, the exclusive Volvo Construction Equipment dealer for the State of Florida, is a part of the Flagler CE Holdings Group.
Staff Accountant
Duties:
- Responsible for the maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the Company’s financials, specifically accounts payable and specific balance sheet accounts (eg. Prepaid insurance, prepaid expense, etc).
- Charges expenses to accounts, branches, and departments by reviewing and entering invoices.
- Communicates with outside vendors, including obtaining statements and reconciling balances.
- Records month end journal entries
- Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
- Maintains historical records by adhering to the Organization’s document retention policy.
- Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Team player capable of successful interaction across multiple departments.
Requirements:
- Associates degree in Accounting or higher.
- Two (2) years of A/P or relevant accounting experience.
- Proficient with MS Excel, Outlook, and Word. General knowledge of pivot tables required.
- Multitask and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to communicate in a professional manner both written and oral.
- Hard working, organized, and has the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Team player who can maintain excellent relationships outside the department.
