The Staff Accountant will provide entry-level accounting and finance support. This position will assist with month-end close procedures, account reconciliations and analysis, year-end audit preparation, and perform administrative and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Staff Accountant PRIMARY DUTIES:
Prepare and enter journal entries for month-end closing.
Assist with review of monthly financials and general ledger detail reports, research inquiries related to financials
Balance sheet account reconciliations
Calculate, post, and ensure accuracy of fixed asset additions, disposals, and depreciation
Perform bank reconciliations
Provide administrative support for the dept & other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Staff Accountant COMPETENCY:

Staff Accountant REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. An Associate’s free in accounting may be considered with the appropriate experienced.
- Accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA) preferred
Staff Accountant EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, QuickBooks, or a large ERP system a plus.
- At least one year of experience in general accounting duties including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations.
- 1-3 years of proven experience in accounting and/or audit roles required
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel (Advanced skills are required)
- Knowledge of GAAP required
