We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to work at our office in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate should be dependable and able to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. The description below describes the immediate need for a staff accountant.
Job Description:
-Preparation and review of financial statements
-Bank reconciliations
-Payroll tax returns and entries
-Month end closing including accruals
-General ledger reconciliation
-Preparation of sales tax returns
-Correspond with clients and government agencies
Experience and Skills Required:
-Minimum 2 years of experience in bookkeeping/accounting
-Strong organization skills
-Strong communication skills
-Client service oriented
-Excellent problem solving skills
-Detail oriented
-Ability to work within a team as well as independently with minimal supervision
-Basic understanding of accounting principles
-Willingness to learn
-Proficient in QuickBooks
-Proficient in Excel, Word & Outlook
-Bachelors Degree in Accounting and/or experience at a CPA firm preferred
-CPA license or CPA candidate preferred
