AllClear is seeking a Staff Accountant to fill a new position on our accounting team in a dynamic, high-growth environment. We are an underground utility contractor specializing in water and waste construction and repair. The company is owned by a private equity group with plans to scale AllClear through acquisitions of similar companies. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Controller and will be onsite daily in Pinellas Park, FL.
About the Role
We are aiming to build a team that is results-driven and can take on many tasks to meet the growing needs of the accounting department. As our Staff Accountant, you will play a major role in our daily accounting operations, month close, and process implementation as we scale. We are looking for an experienced accountant that will own key accounting functions and enable the organization to scale quickly. This role requires critical thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, and solid organizational skills which will help drive efficiency and growth.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing and processing accounts payable for all entities including:
- Vendor Setup and maintenance
- W9 management
- Invoice processing
- Preparation of ACH/wires for invoice payments
- Annual 1099 filings
- Prepare journal entries and ensure proper coding
- Manage prepaids and record the monthly expense
- Capitalize fixed assets/intangibles and manage the depreciation/amortization schedules
- Prepare and file tangible personal property taxes for related assets
- Manage areas of the month-end close process and adhere to the close schedule
- Reconcile related balance sheet accounts and prepare supporting schedules
- Assist with annual audits
- Ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed by the team and leadership
Required Skills:

- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and maintain workflow by showing evidence of time management
- Collaborate and work as a team to reach company goals in a fast-growing environment
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college or university
- 1-3 years of progressive accounting experience
- Knowledge of US GAAP
- Advanced Excel (required) able to manipulate and analyze large data sets and build reports
- NetSuite (preferred)
- Multi-state, prior construction service industry and job costing experience (preferred)
